Aniversary!

So, as of today, I have been married for 4 years!! woo hoo! We are going on our honeymoon next year. Has anyone every been on a cruise?
Anyways, it is TUESDAY!! Ya'll know what that means, the Yarn Harlot is spinning some beautiful fiber into a druel inspiring yarn, the cc is meeting at the bar to crochet in public or knit for no reason, and I will be at football practice.
They are taking our pictures tonight for this season's program. Say cheese!
My helmet is ready for me to pick up on my way home, and I think the coach's email said that our "home" jerseys are also in! Its like x-mas :)
My legs are feeling better, but my feet are still sore :( Atleast I had a few days off this week to rest. Hopefully I will not need as much recovery time at the end of this week!

So, is it just here where its HOT that we enjoy watching people work in cold climates?
Last night my family was sitting around watching "Ice Road Truckers", and it hit me.... first "The Deadliest Catch", then this.
The more I think about it though, its not just cold jobs. We spend all day at work, then we come home and watch other people do their jobs on Discovery, TLC, even the History Channel!
The more I think about it, its not only with work!
Who else out there watches the food network while eating take out?!? Or watching home improvement shows sitting in a completely un-decorated house!
When you get tired watching people work, cook, or do-it-thierselves, you can flip over to the Travel Channel and watch people take vacations!
Are all of these shows simply the effect of reality TV taking over? Have we become a nation of voyeurs?
Time to go watch the Simpsons!

NOTHING!!

So, I have been lying around crocheting since I got off of work on Friday! My legs and feet are feeling much better! The blankie is coming along nicely too :D
Actually, I take that back! Last night a couple of friends went with the hubby and I for dinner and a show! :D We went to the original Tony Roma's where they shot the blowing up car scene in the movie Casino! :) Then we say "LOVE" at the Mirage! If you like the beatles, this is definately a can not miss Cirque show!

Jaaammmmiiiieeee :(

So, I got out of fb practice around 9:00 and tried to make it to the bar in time to say goodbye to one of my favorite cc'ers! Jammie is moving to Montana! :( I just missed you! The waitress saw me walk in (all sweaty in my football pants and such) and she was like, "ohh you just missed them". :(

Our line coach's company moved him across country. He left right after our scrimmage on Saturday. (coincidence I'm sure haha) One of the other coaches picked up for him last night! Oh, I'm feelin' it!
I have never been part of a team before. The only other sport I've played was softball for a bar league, and since I didn't really hang out in bars at the time, I didn't really feel like part of the team. This, is a whole new world.
The girls are fricken' awsome! We all work together. We help each other improve and cheer each other on when we are having problems getting something right! I love it!

First scrimmage done!

So, I've got a couple bruises and scrapes, but not too bad!
It was alot of fun! I'm really surprised at how quickly I feel like part of the team!
The girls are great!
We didn't "win", but it wasn't a real game either. We definately found some stuff that we need to work on.
4 weeks till our first game!!

I got alot done on the earthtone and shades of blue afgahn that I am working on. I can't post a pic though, it is a gift :D
I'm sorry that I did not get a chance to stop by and see ya'll from cc at the bookstore, I'm sure you had a great time though! I'm going to try to make it to a couple of the Saturday meetings before our games start!

I was supposed to go out to the lake today and get some dives in for work, but the boat called and canceled this morning :( Now I have to work today :(

Oh, back to football!! My son is on his way to camp! He just called to say "hi". :D His team is eating breakfast at some McD's between here and there! The last junk food they will see until they are on their way back on Friday!
