ahh September.. the month of vacations!!

So, thanks to Labor Day, my brother's visit, and this weekend's FRIENDSHIP RUN!, I don't work a full week all month!! Sweet!

My little boy was starting varsity line-backer tonight!! He kicks soo much butt! Seriously people, he is 6'2" 190 with a 6-pack, and he is just turning 16 next week!! Come ON!!

His team does this cool Polynesian thing before the game,

Oh, I'm almost done knitting some fetching gloves!! They are in Caron Simply Soft Autumn Red on size 8 dpns cause I knit almost as tight as I crochet!! hahaha

So, I miss my little niece already :( She has to be the best baby ever!! It was soo good seeing my brother and his wife! I hope they had a good time!
She got to see my son play football, and got to see me get injured!

Let's see, good football news, my son earned his starting defense possition!!! He will be starting linebacker and starting special teams this week! I am sooo proud of him, he has earned it!!

Kinda bad football news, I sprained my ankle in the first quarter of our game against Dallas this weekend. Its feeling much better today! I'm glad we don't have a game this week, I should be good to go for our game on the 29th!

Motorcycle news! My brother spent alot of time in the garage with my hubby this weekend, and we hit a couple snags, but on Sunday we got it to start :D There is a lot of adjusting and buttoning up to do, but it is VERY close! It will probably be running by the weekend, but I won't have it broken in on time to take it to the Friendship Run Friday morning. :( That's alright though.. I'll be riding it when we get back! :D And I'll get to knit in the truck this weekend! hahaha

Friday... kinda

So, tomorrow my brother, his wife and his baby are coming to Vegas!! I have not met my little niece yet, so I am VERY excited!

I have not posted in a week, let me see....

My bike is getting VERY close to done. My hubby is the MAN!! hahaha The only things I can think of off the top of my head are; wiring the starter and ignition stuff, finishing the brake lines, adjusting the clutch, installing the battery, bleeding the brakes, putting on the fenders, gas tank, and seat, and starting it!!

My knee high socks have gone on the maybe someday pile. I have a couple baby blankies, and a couple small kid blankies to do. I also have some tofutsie yarn I want to knit. I have a biker camping trip coming up the 21-23, I need to make sure I have something small and durable to take with for that, maybe my Harry Potter scarf.

Hmm, sorry for the rambling, I have not gotten alot of sleep this week! I'm going to go get some coffee! :)

NEW YARN!

So, I had to work late last night :( By the time I got out of work it was too late to go to football practice.
So, I went to CC last night! It was sooo fun! I've really missed you ladies!
There was some antique show and tell last night that was just amazing!
ANGIE FINISHED HER FIRST EVER PAIR OF SOCKS!
They are beautiful and they fit!!
SHE BROUGHT ME YARN!! Now I have real wool yarn! I got the blue and copper for my Harry Potter scarf, and she found this very soft "red hat" yarn! She also got me some stitch markers with my birthstone!! Angie, you rock!

Oh, I actually have some pics and video of my game from the 1st. I will post them soon, but just so ya'll know...

So, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!!
I don't remember football games being this much fun! It must have been the wool band uniforms! hahaha

There was a great low, almost full harvest moon over the strip.


Both teams had the same 7-4 record last year, and two local news teams were out filming for their feature game of the night! They were not disappointed. It was a great game!

It was tied at 1:59ish left in the game. SPV drove it down the field. There were 9 sec. left on the clock and they were on the
1 yard line!
The coach had to choose.. field goal for the win.. or go for the touch down... he chose to go for it!
They ran right up the middle.. there was a huge struggle, both sides pushing the pile..
IT'S IN!!!
The screaming, stomping crowd was ruining my pics! I didn't care WE WON!!!

Wait, they put time back on the clock??


4 secs, but that was all the other team needed for another chance.. now they had time for a kick-off.
My son was on special teams.. he was jumping, jumping, jumping.. pumped, ready to go get the guy with the ball... stop him, don't let him run it back..!

And he did!!! That's right, my little boy ran all the way down the field and stopped the guy that caught the ball!! And I have video.. that looks like a giant blur :(

Hey, about half an hour after we got home, my oldest sent us a pic of her new tattoo! She extended a tattoo that she already had up the whole right side of her body!! It looks very cool! and painful :)

Well, I have about 1.5 hours before I have to leave for my game... I'm going to go watch some college football while I knit socks and do laundry :)
