So, I'm sorry for the last post, but I would rather vent here than on some poor meaning-weller. Yeah, that's probably not a word.. but ya know what I mean.
The hubby and I are taking tomorrow and Monday off to go on a little road trip! It is a motorcycle trip that his club has planned for Sedona, AZ. Unfortunately, his bike is still acting up, so we will be taking the car.. although that does mean AC, so I guess its not that unfortunate hahaha!
We were going to stay in a hotel, but there were no openings for Saturday night. That's OK, the campgrounds have showers, so I'll live.
I'll have lots of pics to show when I get back, have a good weekend.

nobody 3.(not telling)
So, I started going to the gym again last week! I was on a break while I played football. The assumption that all the running and hitting and everything else was burning calories so I didn't need to also go to the gym in the mornings was wrong.. but I'm ok now.
The one fitnessy thing that I did get from football, is that a very nice wide receiver/ personal trainer outlined a new work out for me.
I'm trying it, I'll let ya'll know when I start seeing results :)
Last night was cc! :) There were MANY cers and kers too!! We had all of the tables connected and had to keep adding chairs! Very cool!!!!
If you are ever in Vegas, be sure to check out O'Aces on Rainbow and Cheyenne! They are very nice, and if you stop by on a Tuesday night, we will be there!
We decided to start a cc knit night. We are going to be meeting on Thursday nights in a bar closer to my house :D Its still pretty much on the west side, but its southwest. If they are half as nice as the people at O'Aces, this will be fun!
So, I finished the "Santa" hat that I was working on last night, the pattern did not turn out looking like a Santa hat at all!!!
I even ripped it back once and tried to alter it a little.. turns out, it needs to be altered a lot!!
It turned out looking like a phallic cross between a tele tubie and a Dr. Seuss character!
There is no way I'm putting that out into the world, especially on my hubby's head!!
The Santa hat saga continues tonight! I'm going to go straight home, make a simple dinner, and knit till its right!
Speaking of knitting till its right.. I've been working on a "red hat" sock. I kinda felt that it was knitting up a little lose (stitch wise not diameter wise), but since it is ribbed all the way down, I was going to keep knitting and hope for the best. Well, I knew that I had a weird ladder thing going on in between two of the needles, it is a k2 p2 rib, and one of the needle intersections came up k^k. After looking at it last night, I saw that one of the other intersections is also laddered pretty bad.
1 good intersection out of 3 is just not going to cut it!!
With the combo of the loose knitting and the laddering, I just can not continue with the sock, even though it is like 6" long and I was almost ready to start the heal :(
I will be fogging the sock!
Using what I have learned on this "swatch", I am going to go down a needle size to a 3 and I'm going to distribute my stitches so that each needle starts with k2. Unless... Mindy brought in a sock that she is working on that she alternated the rib widths on. I might use that idea, it added a little dimension without being too busy for the color changes.
We'll see.
Oh, last Sunday, the hubby and I went with a bunch of our friends to Death Valley. It is a very beautiful ride. I took so many pictures on the way in that I had to delete some so I could take pics on the way out! :)
I have not put them in photobucket yet... sorry, I will try to post some soon. If you can't wait, check out my myspace page.
My son's football team starts the playoffs this Friday.
GO GRIZ!!

Happy Halloween!!
So, my club went on our aniversary trip this weekend. Good times, good times. Prepare yourself.. here come the pics.
Now, don't worry, I'm only going to post some of them.. not all 130.
We started off Friday morning meeting for breakfast.

One of my sisters thought that she may have sprained her ankle.. more on that later.
Here she is lookin' too cool with her foot up,

while the efforts to fix the first break down of the day started.

Here's my bike :)

After spending 2 hours at the damn, we got back on the road (- one sister and one bike).
At Rosie's, we discovered our next break!
The oldest bike on the trip blew out the rear brake caliper..
well, that's why they have front brakes.. hahaha!
We weren't going to let a little thing like brakes slow us down (hehe punny).
Back on the road!!
This is probably the coolest bike on the trip..

even in the middle of the desert with a flat tire! Break #3.

Our VP handled the flat very well, so we decided to put the injured in the tow truck instead of her.

We spent a couple hours at Mother Road Harley, then got back on the road for an uneventful final 60 miles!!
3 hour trip = 9 hours
Turns out, BJ's!! (you suck!) does not allow clubs in their bar...
That OK though, we found McKee's around the corner, which is cool, cause we kinda have a thing for Irish Bars anyways!!
This guy made us fresh chips and salsa.

Saturday, the sun rose to reveal "London Bridge Days" in full swing!
Who knew!!
Since we were traped by the parade, we decided to watch it for a little while.
This is the Lake Havasue chapter of the Women in the Wind,

and here's a very bad a$$ k-9!

After the Lake Havasue Mommy's club went by (one kid kept running into his mom's leg with his power wheels hummer hahahaha), we decided it was time to find something a little more entertaining..
We rode over to check out the local biker bar (while it was still light out).
This is the ausome view from the front door.

(yep, that's the lake)
And here is the bike parking!!

When the parade finally finished, we were able to get across the bridge to the island!
It's a desert island.. like a deserted island with lots of people hahahah!
Hey, that explains why the 3 hour trip took soo long!! a three hour tour.. hahaha sorry.
Here we are on one of the light houses.

I'm a bad a$$ can you tell?
Here are a couple pics that I took while we were there..

After cruisin' around the island, my injured sister finally let us take her to the hospital..
It was way more than a sprain!!
I can't remember what its called, but the part of the bone that the tendon is attached to chipped away from the rest of the bone!!!
She rode 80 some miles like that!!

After they released her, we had dinner at a groovie brewery on the island.
This was our dinner view!!

That's THE London bridge!
There were a bunch of people meeting there for a Halloween party!

he he he
I played with the settings on my camera for a little bit!

I like it!
After dinner, we found that the party had not yet started at the biker bar.
Our VP said she had seen something going on back up the street; bikes, people partyin' on the sidewalk, so we decided to go back and check it out!
We pulled up, parked like pros, got off our bikes, and walked up to the party all cool like.
"Where's the bar?" almost in unison.. which was met by much laughter!?
and confusion...
by us!?
They pointed at the signs above their heads...

We couldn't have made up a funnier story..
Turns out, we just pulled up to the NA/ AA halloween party and asked where the bar was!!
I'm not sure who thought it was funnier.. us or them!!
There was a woman there with a dry erase board strapped to the front of her.. she pointed to it and informed us that this might be our sign! hahaha
Jesus was there, and he thought it was hilarious!!

Needless to say, we decided to head back to the bar,
where the costumes had....
well... less meaning..

We went as bikers..

Sunday, we had a nice ride home. Slow, steady, and no break downs!!

3 hour trip = about 5 hours.. but we stoped alot!
Our lesson from the trip, beware the magnetic jewlry, it angers the flatware!!

Oh yeah, and always be on the look out for signs! :)
I almost forgot to post the pics of everybody with nobody!!!
Here ya go :D
The P w/ nobody

The VP w/ nobody

a founding member w/ nobody

the Sec/Tres. w/ nobody

our new hang around (and my best friend) w/ nobody

and, last but not least.. baby maker w/ nobody!

And one more of my bike.. for the road!!

Moon Landing
So, we are debating the moon landing in our morning meeting, now the topic is changing to Kennedy :) I wonder how much of the day we can spend arguing about things that we may never know the truth about?.
Its amazing how much contradicting information is out there!
What is your favorite conspiracy theory?
I finally got my hair cut last night!! I had them go ahead and throw some color on it too. I was so tired that I feel asleep under the hair dryer! :) So I got a little nap and my hair is now healthily trimmed and dark brown!
There was a woman in the salon talking very loudly on the phone about a guy she works with. I guess he's on suspension from work for messing around with a "few" co-workers! She was telling the girl on the phone that she was going to call the guy's wife!! She repeated the guy's name, first and last, and his place of employment several times!! WOW!!!
My bike is running well. I was having problems with my rear brake, but I think my hubby and I finally got the air worked out of the line, we have pressure! (That's a good thing.) One of my co-workers helped me build a luggage rack that my hubby thought up (I'll post pics later), so now I'm all ready for my club's anniversary trip this weekend! We leave tomorrow morning! I need to pack lite for this weekend, (no chase truck to throw loads of bags in) I'm not sure if I'm going to take a project with me or not.
Who am I kidding, there is always room for a project, now that I'm not just making blankies anymore! I'll probably just take some cotton and a couple wash cloth patterns :)
So, tomorrow is Nevada Day! I'm not exactly sure what it is about, but the kids are off school! Which means that the Varsity football game is tonight! This is the last regular season game for my son's team this year. Regionals start November 9th! woo hooo!
Unfortunately, that means that I will not be going to the knit club that I wanted to check out tonight :( Oh well, it'll still be there next week!
Well, I'm missing out on an argument conversation about how much health insurance sucks and whether it should be blamed on doctors, drug companies, or the government. Gotta go! ;D

This is going to be kinda scatered, I have only a few min. before I leave work!! :D
So, my bike is about an hour away from the first ride! I'm hoping to get the brakes bled before football practice tonight! Then tomorrow afternoon, it'll be, adjust the clutch and go for a quick ride before football!!

LOTS OF RAIN!!
It was sooo cold and rainy all day Saturday!
But that just meant lots of cuddlin' by fires..

The run is put on by the AZ River Riders, that means.. we got to see Foto and his wife Teri!

Right on cue, the clouds, rain, and wind all cleared up as the sun went down, and it was a great bomb fire!!

This is Mike, AJ, and my hubby!
I'm not sure who these guys are, but I stole their souls!

Sunday was beautiful!!
Sometimes, biker chicks look like cholos. (sp?)

This is the lengthes some of us ol'ladies go to, to get the best pics...!!!
